Child Sponsorship

Sponsor a Child

Your sponsorship can make a lasting difference in the life of a child and help create a stronger future for their entire community.

Through our child sponsorship program, your support provides access to essential medical care, education, literacy, clean water, sanitation, and hygiene initiatives. By investing in a child’s health, education, and well-being, you are helping them build the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to grow into a healthy, independent, and self-sufficient adult.

Your support strengthens families and communities by creating greater opportunities for education and economic development, while improving access to clean water and healthier living conditions.

We believe sponsorship is about more than financial support; it is about connection. Sponsors receive letters, updates, and photos, allowing you to follow your sponsored child’s journey and see the difference your generosity is helping to make.

Farhan

Farhan

Age 16

A cricket and soccer fan working to regain independence after two strokes.

Farhan is a 16-year-old boy who lives in a small mountain village several hours outside of Skardu with his four sisters and one brother. His father works as a seasonal farmhand, while his mother teaches the Quran. Together, they earn less than $200 per month to support their family.

Farhan suffered a stroke at age eight and experienced a second stroke at age 15, both associated with a severe vitamin deficiency that resulted in elevated homocysteine levels. As a result, he now has a significant speech impairment, limited use of his dominant hand, difficulty walking, and substantial memory challenges.

Farhan needs ongoing speech, physical, and occupational therapy, as well as assistance accessing and maintaining his medications. Before his second stroke, he had completed ninth grade. He will now need specialized education and, eventually, vocational training to help him develop the skills necessary to live as independently as possible.

Despite these challenges, Farhan remains an enthusiastic cricket and soccer fan. Before his illness, he loved playing sports. Your sponsorship can help Farhan regain skills, continue learning, and pursue a future with greater independence and opportunity.

Duraa

Duraa

Age 15

Recovering from brain cancer and working to regain strength, mobility, and hope.

Duraa is a 15-year-old girl who was diagnosed with brain cancer at age 14. She underwent surgery to remove her tumor and is currently receiving radiation treatment.

Duraa continues to experience difficulty walking and limited use of her right hand. She receives ongoing physical and occupational therapy to help her regain strength, mobility, and independence. She also needs assistance with her anti-seizure medication, cancer treatment, rehabilitation, and follow-up appointments with specialists located several hours from her village.

Duraa’s father is the sole wage earner for the family and earns approximately $80 per month. Her mother farms their land to help provide food for their nine children.

For Duraa, sponsorship means more than medical care. It can help her continue her recovery, access essential rehabilitation and treatment, and maintain hope for a healthy and independent future.

Imrana

Imrana

Age 15

Undergoing cancer treatment and working toward mobility, education, and independence.

Imrana is a 15-year-old girl who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer. Her treatment required an above-the-knee amputation of her right leg. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will need a prosthetic leg as she continues her recovery.

In addition to ongoing cancer care, Imrana will need support with obtaining and learning to use her prosthesis, as well as assistance continuing her education. These resources will be essential as she works toward regaining mobility, confidence, and independence.

Imrana lives with her eight siblings. Her father supports the family as a day laborer, earning approximately $90 per month when work is available.

Your sponsorship can help Imrana receive the medical care, rehabilitation, prosthetic support, and educational opportunities she needs to move forward with her life.
